News – As we enter the final international break of the year we run through the latest form rankings according to WhoScored.com ratings over each players last six appearances.

In order to qualify each player must have played in their club’s last league fixture and at least six of the last eight available, with more weighting given to ratings accrued in the most recent matches in said time.

With the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe not qualifying this week having failed to start the required number of matches in recent weeks, it’s Neymar that continues to lead the way.

The Brazilian took his goal tally into double figures at the weekend, as well as registering a fifth league assist of the season in a 4-0 win at Monaco. His closest competition comes in the form of Hazard, though it’s Thorgan nipping at Neymar’s heels rather than Eden, who instead drops out of the top 20 this week.

His younger brother, meanwhile, climbs into second having registered an assist in victory at Werder Bremen to move his club to second in the Bundesliga, with the siblings now level on seven goals and four assists apiece in the league.

Cristiano Ronaldo is up to third having scored once more at the weekend, with the Portuguese having had a direct hand in a goal in each of his last nine Serie A appearances.

The highest new qualifier this week is Frankfurt hitman Luka Jovic, who leapt to the top of the scoring charts in Germany with his eighth and ninth league goals of the season in victory over Schalke. All nine of said strikes have come in the 20-year-old’s last six league appearances, while Raheem Sterling keeps his place in the top five despite dropping three places.

Joining Jovic as the only other new entrants this week are 21-year-old Celta Vigo winger Brais Mendez, who scored and registered an assist in defeat to Real Madrid, and Memphis Depay, who secured a perfect rating against Guingamp having had a hand in all four Lyon goals (two goals, two assists).

Elsewhere in Ligue 1 Emiliano Sala continues to be in flying form in front of goal for Nantes, taking his tally to 11 for the season for the share of the lead across Europe’s top five leagues. Eight of the Argentine’s impressive haul have come in his last six appearances.

Marco Reus returns to the leaderboard after a match winning display in Der Klassiker to move Dortmund seven points clear of rivals Bayern Munich, with the BVB scoring his seventh and eighth league goals of the season in a 3-2 victory.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are not only the only Premier League team represented in the top 20, but the only side with more than two players on the list, with Fernandinho (tenth), David Silva (15th) and Sergio Aguero (19th) joining the aforementioned Sterling.
